Mid-May, after my annual Kentucky Derby party, means plenty of leftovers -- bourbon, Sprite, a jar with a couple of lonely marischino cherries lolling around in it. Whatever shall I drink?
Gentle Cherry Bourbon Fizz
2 oz bourbon
½ oz maraschino syrup
Lemon-lime soda
Combine bourbon and syrup in a highball glass with ice and stir. Top with soda.
