MxMo: Wintermission

This round of Mixology Monday (graciously hosted at Kaiser Penguin) fits my week like a glove. At work, a huge acquisition and an equally important litigation absolutely drained my free time --working past midnight every night, and missing meals, classes and workouts. I was craving a strong drink and some down time.
Now I am out of the woods. I also get the next week off to spend in Florida, and I have certainly had to earn my intermission. And now it's time to think about that drink.

1 oz Bacardi 151 rum
1 oz raspberry rum
1 oz gold rum
1 oz creme de cassis
2 oz pineapple juice

Shake ingredients together with ice and strain into a cocktail glass.

I love the multicolored rim!

By the way, any leads on who makes the raspberry rum?

That recipe looks really sweet, is it? Does the pineapple tone down all the sweet flavors? Have you tried it with some citrus? I wonder what that woud do? That Drink looks mighty tasty, and the photo is great! Cheers.

Thanks DB. The raspberry rum is by Bacardi, labeled as Bacardi Razz. I love the stuff.

Jimmy, I think citrus would be a nice touch, perhaps a little lemon to round out the flavor. The drink as written is fairly sweet, maybe a 6 or 7 on a scale of 1 (vodka martini) to 10 (slushy drink served from spinning machine in a Bourbon street bar).
